HiLux comes with driver and front passenger SRS airbags as standard across the range. There are also front seat side and curtain shield airbags for the driver, passenger and outer rear passengers, fitted in all SR 4WD and SR5 4WD Extra-Cab and Double-Cab models.
Frontal airbags help to reduce shock to the head and chest In a frontal collision, while the curtain shield airbags reduce the force of impact to the head area, should there be a collision from the side.
Toyota HiLux Crumple Zone is designed to help absorb impact in the event of an accident. The cabin comes complete with side door anti-intrusion beams and a Head Impact Protection Structure (HIPS), to help absorb impact.
