2020 2021 Toyota Hilux Revo has arrived and is in our showroom ready for quick export. All New Revo Major Change Model has replaced Toyota Hilux Vigo and its D-4D engine. As you will notice that not only the exterior and interior of the new model Hilux have changed but the name has also been changed. The trusty Toyota Hilux Vigo and Toyota Hilux Vigo Champ has been set aside and the new moniker is Toyota Hilux Revo. In addition All New Toyota Hilux Revo Next Gen Hilux is based on ESTEC GD engine in two configurations: 2400 cc Diesel VNT (Variable Nozzle Turbo) turbo diesel dishing out 150PS (148hp) with 343 Nm of torque for the 5 speed manual and 167PS (165hp) with 400 Nm for the 6 speed auto while 2800 turbo diesel VNT engine will offer 177PS (175hp) with 420 Nm for the manual and 450 Nm for auto version. The 2700 cc Dual VVT-i Petrol engine naturally-aspirated gasoline four-cylinder will offer 166PS (164hp). Revo as it name suggest has some new revolutionary technologies including Active Safety Features as autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system which is a step up from all the current braking technologies. 

Here is a summary of its features:

• Four engines, including two newly developed 2400 cc and 2800 cc GD turbo diesel engines and two Petrol engines: 2700 cc and 4000 cc Gasoline Dual VVT-i engines. 4000 cc only available from Australia
• New six-speed manual and automatic transmissions
• Thicker, stronger frame and off-road protection
• Toyota Australia developed rugged suspension package
• Available in Single Cab in 4WD for the first time
• Smart Cab (Extra Cab) Toyota Hilux Revo available in 2WD, 2WD Hi-Rider Prerunner (2WD raised to the height of a 4WD) and 4WD. 2WD is expected to be RWD
• Advanced comfort, safety and convenience
• Increased towing capacity up to 3.5 tonnes and payloads of up to 1240kg.
• Increased ride comfort makes long drives less grueling
• Quieter cabin allows communication in even the roughest climate and toughest terrain
• Improved fuel efficiency allows one to not only save money but to also take long trips without worrying about refueling

This All New Hilux Full Change Model Revo will be a major change model and is expected May of 2015. On the left is a view of Toyota factory where Toyota Hilux Revo is ready to be shipped. This Full Change is expected to be a full size model. The Next Generation 2016 Toyota Hilux Vigo looks very curvaceous and a new re-think of Hilux traditional look. The grill in front will be two slimmer horizontal bars going all the way to the headlights, the rear curves inward much like Triton.

Rear bumper is much nicer looking and side step is more discreet. Bonnet has a more advanced lift. Both its cabin and bed are bigger in length and width making ait an almost full size pickup truck. Not only will it be more spacious in the front you can now carry more load in the back. Luxuriousness and comfort of the cabin will also increase. It will have higher horsepower and torque. Hybrid version cannot be that far away.

The reshaped side window line incorporates a kicked-back C-pillar and the A-pillars also appear to flow into the bonnet line more smoothly. There is a new-look front end with redesigned headlights with LED daytime running lights DRLs, a bold Toyota-signature lower air intake and a slightly different rear-end with re-profiled bumpers.

On the left is the picture of new pickup's dashboard. Large touchscreen on the center console makes it look like a car's console than an average pickup truck. Digital meter and steering are also good looking.

Toyota is unveiling 2015 Toyota Tacoma in Detroit in January 2015 and many analysts will try to figure out if any of the changes introduced in Tacoma will be brought over to Hilux. Toyota denies this but one can only ve certain once the new model Hilux is released.

2014 Toyota Hilux Next Generation Minor Change model is available now at Jim Autos. Now 8th Generation Major Change Hilux is expected to be released in late 2014 or early 2015 as 2015 Major Change Model. Toyota Hilux Vigo remains world's best selling pickup truck so Toyota can chose to play it safe in 2014 and only released a minor change model. 2015 Next Model will by all accounts be a major change new model which will completely overhaul Toyota Hilux's interiors and exteriors and will give it a fresh new look. It will be a cross between Toyota Highlander and Volkswagen Amarok. Toyota has seen all the recent changes made in 2015 Ford Ranger especially in Wildtrak model and 2015 Mazda BT-50 All New BT-50, 2015 Nissan Navara NP-300 and 2015 Isuzu Dmax. It is expected that it has kept all these new trucks in mind when creating the 2015 Next Generation Hilux. 2015 Mitsubishi L200 Triton has been released.

In all 31 variants of Toyota Hilux Revo will released. All New 2015 Toyota Hilux Revo will be offered in the following three engines in both 5 speed & 6 spped manual and 6 speed sequential Auto transmission:

1. 2016 Toyota Hilux 2.4 2GD Manual – 150PS and 343Nm of torque between 1400 and 3400rpm, 5-speed manual transmission.

2016 Toyota Hilux Revo is available in three cab configurations. Toyota Hilux Revo Single Cab will be available in both 4x2 and 4x4. Toyota Hilux Vigo Champ was only available in 4x2.Toyota Hilux Revo Extra Cab known as Toyota Hilux Revo Smart Cab will be avaiable in both 4x2, Prerunner (4x2 raised to the height of 4x4) and 4x4 Smart Cab Hilux Revo. This time around Toyota is making a big push to involve as many of its R&D teams as it can. More importantly engineers of Toyota Australia will play an important role in design of 2015 Toyota Hilux.  Next Model Toyota Hilux 2014 2015 Spy Shots and Next Model Toyota Fortuner 2014 2015 Spyshots of Hilux 2015 will be available as soon as available. Toyota Australia Technical Centre, in Notting Hill near Melbourne will be in charge of chassis tuning for next generation HiLux pickup trucks destined for the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Some of the items they will be overseeing are ride and handling tuning, along with the integration of ESC and other new-age chassis aids across all models for the first time in HiLux. There are also rumours of an AWD model but we won't hold our breath for it.

Now that Toyota has released its new Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) Platform, Hilux will also benefit from this standardization across Toyota's product lines. All major manufacturers are now standardizing on a common platform, all future Volkswagen will be built on MQB platform and Nissan on V-platform

Expected Changes in Next Gen 2015 Hilux Toyota Revo, Toyota Hilux Vigo Champ Replacement

Toyota is hoping that you will fall in love all over again with all the changes it is planning for the aging Hilux. Some changes expected in New Model New Shape 2015 Major Change Toyota Hilux are as follows:

• New Grill and front and rear lighting
• Better ride and handling
• Much better Suspension to reduce noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). Much better shock absorbers
• Increase braked towing capacity to at least 3000kg from the current 2500kg
• Add more active and passive safety features
• It will retain 2500 cc D-4D Diesel 2KD Engine, 3000 cc D-4D Diesel 1KD engine, 2000 cc Gasoline (Petrol) VVT-i DOHC I4, 2700 cc Gasoline (Petrol) VVT-i DOHC I4 and 4000 cc Gasoline (Petrol) VVT-i DOHC V-6 but horsepower and torque will be increased on all models
• European steering box instead of the current Japanese steering box
• Electronic Stability Control will be added to all Hilux models
